We also record how you reached the site (the page you landed on, the referring website and any campaign tags in the link), the time of your request and basic technical information your browser sends, such as its type. Our hosting and request systems may also log your IP address for security and spam prevention. We don't ask for, and you shouldn't send, payment details, identity documents or access codes.
Why we collect it

Who we share it with
We send your request to a licensed electrical contractor who works in your area. The contractor handles your job directly and uses your details to contact you, quote and carry out the work.Electricians who receive requests through this site pay us for them. We also use service providers to host the website and process requests. We don't sell your details to marketing lists or data brokers, and we don't send your request to multiple contractors at once. Once the electrician has your details, their own privacy policy governs how they use them.
Security
Requests are sent over an encrypted connection, and access to them is limited to the people who need it to handle your request. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Overseas disclosure
Our website hosting, request processing and email providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to the Australian Privacy Principles.
If you don't provide your details
You can browse the site without giving us anything. We need your name, phone number, suburb and a description of the job to pass on a quote request; without them we can't arrange for an electrician to contact you.
Cookies and storage
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to measure visits and interactions on this website. Analytics uses cookies and may process data outside your country. Google receives technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view. We do not send your enquiry details to Google Analytics, and the site does not use advertising cookies. To stop Google Analytics, block cookies in your browser settings or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
The site also keeps a small note in your browser's session storage of the page you arrived on and any campaign tags, so they can be included with your request. It's cleared when you close the tab.
How long we keep it
We keep request records for as long as needed to handle your enquiry, deal with any follow-up and meet our legal obligations, then delete or de-identify them. The contractor keeps their own records of work they carry out.
Access, correction and complaints

Changes
